Nursing schools are now more interactive, convenient, hassle-free and flexible. With the nursing shortage in many hospitals and clinics rising yearly, nurses are in-demand nowadays to fill in the gap between the demand and supply. To cover up this gap, government institutions are funding nursing programs with more scholarships given, recruitment of young people early and develop means for student nurses to progress efficiently and quickly. Nursing school is not only a small minority in universities but an essential part of the whole community. Student nurses, with nursing associations made, are given opportunities for them to develop their leadership and management skills. National Student Nurses’ Association is the official organization of student nurses in the United States to function as a liaison of students in nursing colleges to professional nurses in the country.

Many technologies have developed and created every day. From an iPod Nano innovated in 2001 to an iPhone 5 to be released this year, nursing technologies are not left behind with this modern gadgets yearly made. Since nursing school must adapt to what hospitals and clinics are doing, it has also made changes in their curriculum. Nursing informatics is included to support the modernization of nursing. Paperless documentation will turn to a hassle-free computerization of nursing activities such as examinations, class discussions and virtual laboratories. It has been predicted that by 2030, nurses will be replaced by robots or robots would become a part of the health care team. Nurse experts are alarmed with this study and with many technologies coming, limitations should be implemented in order for this modernization not become a threat to the nursing profession.
